MELLOW GEL LIP PENCIL-MATTE

I was thrilled to get a lipliner in pink and purple that showed up on deeper complexions. Worked fine for a month or two but started drying out. Still, very pretty while it lasted.

I ordered 2 of these in grape prism and chili pepper. For chili pepper, I just needed a red lip liner to go with all of my red lipsticks I already own and this is exactly what it's advertised as - a matte, buttery smooth lip liner. I am impressed! For grape prism, I mainly ordered it with the intention of lining and completely coloring in my lips for a true, matte purple lip since I do not already own purple lipstick and wanted to try out a new color. I have used lip liners that can fill in all of my lips with a smooth, even color, but I was not getting an even color with this, but that is ok since that is not what lip liner is intended for! I am also experiencing a lot of breaks in the pencil when I try to sharpen it, but that might be my sharpener. Overall, it is a great buy!

I bought Mauveing On, and I really love the shade. It's very versatile and even pretty all on its own. This liner is very waxy but also has a lot of staying power. My only complaint is one that is very typical of these pencil-type liners. The core within the wood seems to have many cracks, which makes sharpening it a real pain. I have to be very, very careful just to keep the liner inside the wood, and a truly sharp point is basically out of the question. Overall, I think I like the $1.00 liners a lot better, but I'm not too mad at this one.

The best lipliner! Goes on smooth, matte and actually lasts unlike the ones I owned at fives times the price. I threw them out when I tried these. I have not had any problems with sharpening. I am giving my honest review of all the products I purchased and my only regret so far is that I did not buy any lipsticks or eyeliner.
